It is with great sadness that Barnett Opticians announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Carrie Eva on Monday 14 October 2019.

Carrie joined the practice in 2012 as an experienced Dispensing Optician and quickly became an integral member of our team. She will be remembered fondly for her kind and friendly ethos, as well as her keen interests in photography and formula 1 motor racing. She will be deeply missed.

We offer our sincere condolences to her husband, family and many friends.

Carrie was a dear friend for over 20 years. Her warm and caring personality shone through in her encounters with all her friends, colleagues and customers. We shared a love of good food and wine, and also spent many wonderful evenings listening to jazz at Ronnie Scotts with Rod. We spent a happy evening together recently, celebrating a special birthday. I will miss our lunches together when she was in the City, her witty comments on Facebook and also the wonderful images she shared with me when we met. My love and condolences go to all who knew and loved Carrie.
