We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are implementing to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
Call before your visit if you can
- Please telephone to make an appointment.
Extra Protection
- All staff will be wearing the appropriate degree of Personal Protective Equipment.
- We will also be following a strict cleaning and disinfection process of all touch points, and using special UVC Sterilising equipment.
When you arrive we will ask you to:
- Use the hand sanitiser as you enter our practice.
- You have an option to wear a mask. You are welcome to visit without wearing a mask as long as you are well. We will be happy to provide a mask if you would prefer to wear one.
Please also:
- Be aware that we are trying to keep the number of people in the building to a sensible level.
In the Consulting Room
- As part of your examination we will have to be quite close for short periods of time, but we will minimise the risks inherent in this by keeping periods of closer contact to an absolute minimum.
- We will have the option of using technology to examine the inside of your eyes in minute detail, so we won’t have to get as close to you as we used to. There is a small additional charge for this extra service.
- Many of you will be delighted to know that we do not use the "puff of air" test to check your eye pressure. We have a new method which does not cause aerosol droplets to be produced.
When choosing frames
- Please sanitise your hands before trying on frames.
- Ask us to pass you the frames that you would like to try.
- Once you have tried a frame pass it back to us rather than put it back on the display.
- Each frame will be sanitised and sterilised after it has been tried on before going back on display.
- Please try to maintain a sensible separation when browsing.
We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are implementing to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
