Dispensing Optician Required
Barnett Opticians, a well-established independent practice based in the Pinner area, North West London, is seeking to recruit a full time Dispensing Optician or Optical Assistant to join our team from July 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter.
About Us
We are a 1-testing room practice, testing 5-6 days a week. Our set up will suit someone looking to make a move to a more customer-focused independent practice, where you are encouraged to develop relationships with customers. This role has arisen due to the retirement of one of our present Dispensing Opticians.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and enterprising Dispensing Optician, who is able to put new ideas and concepts into our business. An excellent knowledge of lenses, frames and contact lenses is essential, as are good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with the rest of our team and with our customers. A full list of selection criteria is appended below in the further particulars.
Registration with the GOC is not essential, but would be preferred. A pre-registered Dispensing Optician would be considered.
The role involves working up to 5 days a week, including Saturdays.
Part time will be considered.
Flexibility to cover absence and holidays is also required. We are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Salary is very much dependent on experience and is supplemented by a commission scheme.
